The Interagency Coordination Platform for Refugees and Migrants from Venezuela (R4V) reported that the number of Venezuelan migrants and refugees is 6.8 million people worldwide. In this sense, the Human Rights Center of the Andrés Bello Catholic University (CDH-Ucab) indicated that this figure is due to the updating of data from Migración Colombia.

The graph shared on social networks shows that data on Venezuelan migrants in the United States is not recorded, but it is estimated that the number is increasing. A note published by the whistlepointed out that the records show a slight decrease in the Venezuelan population in Mexico, Peru and Ecuador, and increases in Panama, Costa Rica and Curaçao.
The majority of the Venezuelan migrant population is found in South America, mostly in Colombia, where there are 2.8 million Venezuelans. They are followed by Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Brazil. In Central America, the largest presence of the Venezuelan migrant population is found in Panama with more than 144,000 people; Mexico with almost 83,000 and Costa Rica with just over 30,000 people.
