Monterrey, NL. The 10th. edition of Congress and Exhibition of the Steel Industry (Conac 2023), takes place from March 13 to 15 in Cintermex. It is the largest technical event related to steel manufacturing processes in Latin America, organized by the Iron and Steel Technological Association, AIST Mexico Chapter.

During the conferences, they will attend to problems that concern the industry, about how the steel industry deals with climate change, challenges of decarbonization of the supply chain, all linked to the optimization of sustainable energy, he commented.
For his part, Stefano Maggiolino, president of the AIST Mexico Chapter, and CEO of Tenova HYL, indicated that this forum is very important to learn about the innovations of technology providers.
In the event there will be conferences on Steelworks, Lamination, Processes and Uses of Steel, Maintenance, Safety and Industry 4.0. As well as magisterial conferences, technical conferences, and an Industrial visit to the Ternium plant in Pesquería.
It is estimated that about 100 exhibitors will participate in an area of 5,900 square meters, including the exhibition area and the conference area.
“The event is aimed at producers, manufacturers, suppliers and users of steel, so they expect more than 1,500 people to attend, including national and international buyers, businessmen and senior executives of the most representative metallurgical companies in the country, companies that supply goods and services of the sector”, said Maggiolino.
