More than 220 national and international delegates begin the New World Voices Training Day, aimed at popular communicators, in order to analyze the tools of communicational influence and psychological manipulation as a geopolitical weapon.
From the International Productive Investment Center, located in El Rosal, in Caracas, the professor of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Fernando Horta began the cycle of interventions and is expected that in the course of the day several presentations of international experts in communicational matters will be developed, specifically from Russia, the United States and South Africa.
During his speech, Professor Horta said that people communicate more by digital means, than by personal interaction, evidencing that digital media exceeded normal conversation.
He added that capitalism currently works with digital extractivism, generating effects that transcend the economic, configuring what some theorists call data colonialism.
He added that this communication panorama not only reflects an economic control strategy, but also a cultural and technological imposition that consolidates the dependence of peripheral spaces towards digital power centers.
It is important to highlight that some 2,000 people remain connected, via Zoom videoconference, to this space for the alliance of journalists for the communication of the global southern, to promote and strengthen knowledge in the popular communicators of the country.
They use AI and algorithms to generate false information
For his part, the rapporteur of the Russian Federation Mikhail Zvinchuk said that through AI and with the use of algorithms they change reality and using as a tool an eco chamber generate false information.
In this sense, he set an example the elections of Argentina, where artificial intelligence for the promotion of a candidate for president was used; This happened in the elections of Türkiye and the Zero Zero campaign from Israel. Today AI is used for electoral campaigns, making “bad people become good in the eyes of the audience.”
He added that “IA should be used more so as not only to be manipulated information receptors, but so that we are proactive to these types of messages that distort the truth.”
Mikhail Zvinchuk said that in Russia AI is based on western experience and «we use free and open technologies, being changed regularly; It is not a bad decision, because we can use it for everything ».
