The payment of extraordinary aid to fishermen in municipalities in the Northern Region affected by drought will begin this Monday (6). The deposit date depends on the fisherman’s final Individual Taxpayer Registration (CPF) number. Around 195 thousand professional artisanal fishermen will benefit from the single installment of R$2,824.
The Extraordinary Fisherman’s Aid was established by Provisional Measure No. 1,277from November 2024, to serve the fishing community that receives the Artisanal Fisherman’s Unemployment Insurance and who live in the municipalities of Amapá, Amazonas and Pará, in an emergency situation resulting from drought or drought officially recognized by the Ministry of Integration and Development Regional.
Those covered had the Artisanal Fisherman’s Unemployment Insurance (Seguro-Defeso) granted until November 29, 2024, and are fishermen who were not supported by the previous provisional measure, nº 1,263, issued in October 2024.
Deposit
The amount of extra aid will be deposited into the current account or digital social savings account automatically opened by Caixa Econômica Federal, in the name of the approximately 195 thousand beneficiaries of the measure.
The deposit date – from Monday to Friday (10) – will be determined by the number at the end of the CPF.
· 6/1/2025: endings 0 and 1;
· 7/1/2025: finals 2 and 3;
· 8/1/2025: finals 4 and 5;
· 9/1/2025: finals 6 and 7;
· 10/1/2025: finals 8 and 9.
The movement of digital social savings is carried out through the Caixa Tem application, available for smartphonewhich allows you to pay bills, make transfers and purchases with a virtual debit card.
Municipalities
The fishermen in the Northern Region covered by this second provisional measure are from the following municipalities affected by the drought:
Amapá: Santana, Macapá, Laranjal do Jari, Mazagão, Vitória do Jari, Amapá, Tartarugalzinho, Pracuúba, Itaubal, Calçoene, Oiapoque, Ferreira Gomes, Cutias, Pedra Branca do Amapari, Porto Grande and Serra do Navio.
Amazonas: Autazes, Codajás, Boa Vista do Ramos, Boca do Acre, Novo Airão, São Gabriel da Cachoeira, Nhamundá, Itapiranga, Nova Olinda do Norte, São Sebastião do Uatumã and Barreirinha.
Pará: Cametá, Mocajuba, Baião, São Sebastião da Boa Vista, Ponta de Pedras, Curralinho, Tucuruí, Oeiras do Pará, Breu Branco, Bagre, Chaves, Acará, Almeirim, Anajás, Santa Cruz do Arari, Novo Repartimento, Senador José Porfírio , Vitória do Xingu, Altamira, Rio Maria, Itaituba, Pacajá, São Geraldo do Araguaia, Faro, Anapu, Ipixuna do Pará, Concórdia do Pará, Capitão Poço, Ourém, Xinguara, Nova Esperança do Piriá, Santa Luzia do Pará, Bom Jesus do Tocantins, Belterra and Sapucaia.
