North Korea confirms it launched a solid fuel ballistic missile

At a military parade in Pyongyang in February, North Korea displayed a record number of nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missiles. Analysts noted that some may be new fossil fuel ICBMs.

The announcement comes days before North Korea celebrates one of its most significant political anniversaries, Sunshine Day, on April 15.

The date commemorates the birth of the country’s founder, Kim Il Jung, and is often celebrated with weapons tests or military parades.
