#NoMirePaTra is trending on Twitter

Since this Sunday and still this Monday the hashtag (label) #NoMirePaTra has been a trend on the social network Twitter in the Dominican Republic.

“No Mire Pa Tra” was a phrase expressed several times by the president Louis Abinader in a speech this Sunday in which he called the followers of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) to take to the streets to defend the government and tell the people not to “look back” in allusion to the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).

The hashtag #NoMirePaTra has been used both by supporters of the ruling party to defend Abinader’s government work, and by those who identify with the opposition to criticize the government’s actions.

One of the users who posted on Twitter using the hashtag #NoMirePaTra was the general director of Supérate, Gloria Reyes, who shared the president’s message on her social network account (@GloriaReyesG) also calling to look forward.

Likewise, the former deputy Luisin Jimenez (@LuisinJimenezc) listed the measures of the Government by which he understands that one should not look back.

Among the publications that appear in the top at noon this Monday is that of Julio Pimentel (@JPimentelO), who identifies himself as a member of the PLD. This user says that when he looks back he sees progress.

Another user identified as Geuris Cipion M. (@GeurisCipion) considered that President Abinader does not want them to look back, but they have not done any important work.

President Abinader harangued this Sunday the troops of the PRM to whom he called to take to the streets to defend the Government and tell the people not to “look back” in frank allusion to the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) whom he criticized for appearing again “with the same faces” .

In his speech to close the event, President Abinader said that from the opposition they can shout, “but they cannot harm our people. However, they have the gall to present themselves to the population with the same faces and the same characters with whom they governed and did not solve a single major national problem after more than 16 years of government.

Leading newspaper in the Dominican Republic focused on general news and innovative journalism.
