According to the real estate firm CBRE Mexicodespite the rise of electronic commerce and the confinement due to Covid-19, the Mexican population continues to see the malls as recreational places, leisure and gatherings with family and friends.

“Two years after the start of the pandemic, it reinvents itself (sector retail) and adapts to the new consumer who requires safer and sanitized spaces, the experiential factor in their purchases, the mix with entertainment and the ever-present possibility of returning home and buying online what they have seen in the mall” , explained Yadira Torres, director of market research at CBRE Mexico.

Here are some details of the commercial projects of the main developers in the country:

Fiber Danhos

One of the real estate groups with more shopping centers fashion mall in and around Mexico City is Fibra Danhos, which has in its portfolio commercial projects such as Parque Delta, Parque Tezontle and Toreo Parque Central.

Another company with an available offer of shopping malls with the entertainment component is Gicsa, which in its portfolio includes a series of projects under the “Esplanade” concept, with which part of the available activities are outdoors.

Thus, Gicsa has three developments of this type, Explanada Culiacán, in the process of opening, as well as Esplanada Pachuca and Explanada Puebla, already with their doors open.
