This Tuesday Vehicles with pink stickers, license plate ending in 7 and 8, hologram 1 and 2 are not allowed to circulate.Holograms 00 (double zero) and 0 (zero) are exempt and may circulate.

The following types of vehicles are also exempt:

  • Taxi drivers.
  • Motorcycles.
  • Public transport.
  • Freight transport.
  • Vehicles driven by healthcare workers (with authorized card).

Program schedule and where it applies

The program is active in Mexico City and the State of Mexico from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. It operates in the 16 municipalities of Mexico City and in the 18 metropolitan municipalities of Edomex:

  • Coacalco
  • Cuautitlan
  • Cuautitlan Izcalli
  • Chalco
  • Chicoloapan
  • Chimalhuacan
  • Ecatepec de Morelos
  • Huixquilucan
  • Ixtapaluca

  • Nicolas Romero
  • Tecámac
  • Tlalnepantla de Baz
  • Tultitlan
  • Chalco Valley

Fines for not respecting the program

The fine for not complying with the Hoy No Circula Program is between 20 and 30 UMAS (Updating Measurement Unit). Taking into account that each UMA is set at a cost of 108.57 pesos, the fine could range from 2,171.40 to 3,257.10 pesos.
