The assets of retirees and pensioners will have an increase of 17.04% as of March, the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, announced this Friday; and the director of the National Social Security Administration (Anses), Fernanda Raverta.
To these increases will be added a reinforcement of $15,000 for retirements and pensions of up to two minimum assets, which will allow No retirement will be below 73,000 pesos as of Marchplus the increase corresponding to the Mobility Law.
This increase, the first of the four that will be granted this year, will be 17.04 percent for all Social Security beneficiaries.
In addition, the Universal Allowance for Daughter and Son (AUH) will rise to 11,465 pesosreported from the pension agency.
In this way, the new increase will be perceived by more than 17 million retirement, pension and allowance holders.
Meanwhile, the reinforcement will be 15,000 pesos per month to be paid in March, April and May for those who receive up to a minimum retirement and that will gradually decrease to 5,000 pesos for those who receive up to two minimum salaries.
Thus, with these increases, the minimum retirement will amount to 73,665 pesos.
Massa and Raverta pointed out that in 2019, when the current administration began, the minimum retirement was 14,000 pesos and that now it will reach 73,665 pesos.
With this measure, the minimum retirement increases by 11 percent in real terms since December 2019, thus recovering part of the 19.5 percent lost during the previous government.
“We have been working side by side with Anses to follow this path of improvement, not only in retirement, but also in other social security benefits,” said Massa.
“This measure that we are taking for retirees and pensioners will allow us to follow the path in the next three months to improve basic retirement but, in addition, reinforcement from the State to guarantee that income is improved” , stressed the minister.
Raverta, for his part, emphasized that “Being able to say that we recovered 11 points out of the almost 20 that were lost in the previous government is very important. Destroying is an instant and rebuilding and re-guaranteeing that the pocket of retirees allows them to live with dignity is much slower”.
“A minimum retiree will have a retirement of 73,665 pesos in March. In other words, no retiree will earn less than 73,000 pesos,” concluded the head of the Anses.
The first increase of the four planned for the current year for the passive sector occurs after last December the Anses formalized an increase of 15.62% for retirement, pensions and universal allowances, the last in 2022 for retirees and pensioners .
In this way, the minimum credit became $50,124, to which A $10,000 bonus was added so that salaries would not fall below $60,000 until the current month of February, inclusive.
