Before the III Regional Simulation of Response to Disasters and Humanitarian Assistance, the Ministry of Government clarified that Tuesday the 13th is a regular day of work and classes, only the places previously selected and trained will be evacuated in the simulation.
The Minister of Government, Roger Tejada, said that Tuesday, June 13, is a normal day for work and classes. “No one has to evacuate their homes. Evacuations will take place only in previously selected and trained schools, institutions and companies.
Tejada pointed out that everything is ready for the start of the III Regional Simulation of Disaster Response and Humanitarian Assistance that will take place until June 16 with the participation of more than a dozen invited countries, observers and brigades.
The head of the Government reported that during the drill there will be various earthquake scenarios, collapsed structures, structural fire, oil spill, cyberattack and biological risk; and reiterated that it is only a practical exercise and it will not be a real situation. This drill will evaluate the response capacity of our country, before possible disaster events.
Similarly, Roger Tejada, asked the population to stay in their jobs and homes because it is a regular day, while maintaining peace of mind and following the official accounts of the Institution.
