Santo Domingo – Today the deadline for vehicle owners to renew the marbete expires. The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII), reported that there will be no extension.
Starting tomorrow to carry out the renewal the citizen will have to pay a surcharge.
The amount of the same will be RD$2,000 to vehicles that do not do so before January 31, 2022.
Similarly, RD$2,100 to those who did not renew the 2020-2021 license tag and RD$3,100 to those who did not renew the 2019-2020 and previous years.
In these payments, the citizen would spend between 4,500 and 7,767 pesos, since vehicles manufactured until 2016 pay 1,500 pesos per tag, the default would be 2,000 pesos and the infraction that the DIGESETT would impose 1,000 pesos.
Cars manufactured from the year 2017 onwards, the circulation right costs 3,000 pesos, the fine 1,667 and the delay would vary depending on the year in which the owner does not renew.
If the label is from the 2021-2022 period, the default to be paid is 2,000, bringing the total amount to 6,667 pesos.
If the tag is not changed from 2020-2021, the penalty is 2,100 pesos, raising the cost to 6,767.
While if the tax corresponds to the years 2019-2020, the owner of the vehicle must pay 3,100 pesos in arrears, which would make a total of 7,767.
The circulation tax renewal period began on November 2, 2021.
