“I regret that social networks are used to send a message to the Prosecutor’s Office, when there are official means to do so. It is also worrying that the victims are used in the media, as the governor has constantly done, and worse, that they are put before the judgment of the people, without respecting their pain and with an end that obviously is not the search for justice ” said the prosecutor in a video posted on social networks.
“It is up to the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate the cause of the violent death of women, and you, Mr. Governor, as responsible for state security, have to protect them and prevent their death,” he added.
The official said that those who are part of the institution he directs do what corresponds to them “regardless of criticism, political or media complications, respecting the law that protects the human rights of victims. Affected families deserve respect.”
