Cris Duarte believes that art plays an important role in this project, as one of the channels for transmitting ideas and information and raising public awareness of the issue of ocean preservation. In her works, the artist explores themes such as the beach, rough sea, sky, coral reef, water reflection and sailboat on the high seas.

“The idea is that the paintings generate in the public a feeling of love for the oceans. I want to use art to draw attention to this larger theme, which is sustainability, and which involves science, politics, technology and government actions,” said Cris.
