Nine-year-old boy was found dead in a lake in Bogotá: he went to the store and never returned

Since last May 13, Jonathan Camilo Castillo, a nine-year-old boy, has been wanted by his relatives after he disappeared when he went out to a store in the San Joaquín neighborhood of the town of Bolivar City. According to his relatives, he was sent to the store to make a purchase, but never came back.

After the disappearance of the minor was alerted and search operations were carried out, this Sunday the Fire Department announced the discovery of the lifeless body of the minor in a lake in the same town, located in the area of Lucero Alto, in the San Joaquín neighborhood.

According to the authorities, the minor’s body was found with signs of abuse and his clothes were found with traces of blood. For now, the case is handled by the Metropolitan Police sijin and the Attorney General’s Office, in order to find those responsible for this heinous murder.

Regarding the case, Jhon Felipe Montañez, the boy’s cousin, said in the Bogotá Alert newscast that his family speculates that the minor was kidnapped and abused sexually. However, they are awaiting the results of the autopsy to clarify the signs of abuse.

Finally, the victim’s uncle told the City TV newscast that “I just don’t understand how they can take the life of a child who is just beginning to live and I want to give them a recommendation to today’s moms, don’t send your children alone to run errands”.
