On November 17, an unfortunate incident occurred in Armenia when a 9-month-old baby accidentally swallowed a Christmas ball, triggering a series of events that ended with his tragic death on November 20.
According to RCN Radio Quindío, the minor was under the care of his grandparents, who, upon realizing what happened, quickly rushed him to a clinic in the city.

Upon arriving at the healthcare center, the doctors acted immediately to try to save the little boy’s life, but, unfortunately, despite medical efforts for three days, his body could not resist the obstruction caused by the ingested object and he died.
The baby’s body was taken to the morgue, where the corresponding autopsy was performed on November 21. The boy’s family now faces a painful moment.
Finally, the Mobile Criminalistics Laboratory of the Criminal Investigation Section (Sijín) took over the case, carrying out the technical inspection of the corpse and ensuring compliance with the corresponding procedures.
This tragic accident leaves deep sadness in the community and underlines the importance of taking special care with children, especially at this time of year, when ornaments and decorative objects can represent a risk in homes.
