After the larval entomological study, which seeks to detect the districts with the largest breeding sites for Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae, the transmitter of dengue, Zika and chikungunya, It was detected that nine of the 15 districts analyzed are those that are in an emergency.
According to the results obtainedMontero Hoyos (33.8%), Paurito (31.8%), District 11 (21.7), Palmar Oratorio (17.8) and districts 10 (14.4%), 8 (12.9% ),7 (11.2%), 12 (9.3%) and 5 (8.5%)are those that are in emergency, because according to the established ranges, when the 8% is exceeded, the district is in red.
The municipal secretary of Health, Adriana Amelunge, explained that they have already started campaign to destroy breeding sites of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, responsible for the three diseases previously named.
Amelunge specified that house by house will be entered to destroy all breeding sites of positive larvae that were already detected in September.
Fumigation of streets and avenues is also being carried out with the aim of preventing dengue, zika and chikungunya in the coming months that are outbreaks such as January, February, March and April, Amelunge said.
