The Association of Bars of Colombia (Asobares) presented a balance of the first weekend with a demand for vaccination card to enter these establishments and the conclusion, according to the union, is that there are “major concerns for the country’s night sector”.

“On the nights of November 18 to 20, affiliated establishments in the country reported averages of decrease in sales of 35% and capacity (public) of 40%. In addition, cases of attacks by some clients to the logistics and customer service personnel of the establishments were reported, mainly in Bogotá, Cali, Medellín, Tunja and Ibagué”, Highlighted Asobares.
Likewise, he pointed out that with the expansion to a complete vaccination scheme as a requirement for admission to mass events, from next December 1, it increases concern in entrepreneurs before the possibility of a “black december”.

“The uncertainty in the face of a possible dry law on the weekend of December 4-6 has generated massive cancellation of reservations, corporate events and special activities that were projected for the most important weekend for the sector in December”.
Finally, the union highlighted that supports the mass vaccination process as the basis for economic reactivation, “which has allowed the sustainability of the business fabric and the recovery of more than 60,000 jobs and occupations“, but that he is concerned, in the future, that the license requirement will negatively impact the sector.

On November 16, the requirement of the vaccination card to attend mass events began to govern and from December 1, as already mentioned, it will be a requirement to have the complete scheme.
