The Parxin company announced that residents affected by day and night paid parking may request the municipality to be exempt from payment, provided they are up to date with their taxes and have a vehicle license from Asunción.
One of the main complaints against the paid parking that will be implemented in Asunción is the inclusion of residential areas, which will also be included at night and will force residents to pay to park in front of their houses.
In this regard, the representative of Parxin, Pedro Brítos, clarified that this aspect was Very thoughtful in favor of the Asunceno citizen, who will be able to make a request to the municipality to park for free up to two blocks around, not only in front of his house.
“It is required that the authorization of the vehicle be in Asunción and that the taxes are up to date and once you are registered (the requirements are met), you can park not only in front of your house, but up to two blocks around” Brítos commented in an interview with Universo-Nación Media radio.
That license will appear in the digital registry, where the inspector will be able to verify that the vehicle belonging to So-and-so has authorization to park without paying.
The payment of the rate is for the space to park the vehicle, not for its safety, as Brítos clarified.
As soon as the company receives the notification of the approval by the Municipality of Asunción, the period of 120 days to start up the entire system will begin to run, that is to say, in case the official document is sent this week and in the rest of the month, the application will start from May.
During this period, the hiring of car attendants and training in the use of the machines they must use will begin. In addition, the dissemination process on the operation of the system.
In the event that the Municipal Traffic Police detect improperly parked vehicles or located in unauthorized areas, the Parxin company will make the tow trucks available to the agents.
