Nigerian army killed 126 extremists in three months

Abuja, Mar 26 (Prensa Latina) Nigerian military commanders reported today that in the last three months the Army eliminated 126 elements of extremist groups in the northeast of this country, as part of a military offensive.

The Intelligence Coordinator of the armed body, Colonel Obinna Azuike, also stated that in these combative actions, carried out basically in the state of Borno, 10 soldiers perished.

After reporting that in the aforementioned period the Nigerian troops carried out more than a thousand operations against the insurgents and 5,563 ambushes, the military official explained that the operations were carried out in the enclaves of Afa, Kara, Abullam, Talala Ajigin, Buk Alagarno and Dole. , among others.

In addition to recovering an abundant stock of weapons and ammunition, artillery cannons and armored personnel carriers, the military units destroyed bomb factories and dismantled a cell of radical elements, with some 150 members, Azuike listed.
