Nicolas Maduro: Elon Musk wants to rule Venezuela

SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- This Tuesday, the governor Nicolas Maduroamid mass protests against the election results that declared him the winner, stated from Miraflores Palace that there is a plan to “destabilize” the country, perpetrated by Elon Musk, the United States Government and “Colombian drug trafficking.”

In front of a crowd gathered outside the palace, he lashed out at businessman Musk, who has denounced the lack of transparency in the Venezuelan electoral process and has openly mocked Ripe.

According to the Chavista representative, there is an “alliance” of the “global extreme right” that is trying to overthrow him, in collusion with Musk (his new “archenemy”), drug trafficking and the “imperialist government of the United States.”

According to Maduro, the owner of Tesla and the social network X would be behind the alleged “hacks” to the Venezuelan electoral system because, according to the Chavista, Musk wants to govern Venezuela.

“He would like to come with his rockets and an army to invade Venezuela“Maduro argued.

“But I remind you that anyone who messes with Venezuela will dry up. They will dry up and we will triumph again on the path of peace,” he said.

He also stated that the alleged acts of destabilization, the citizen demonstrations of discontent, were perpetrated by direct “orders” of María Corina Machado and the opposition leader Edmundo González Urrutia, whom he called “Guaidó 2.0.”

“I hold you responsible, sir. Gonzalez Urrutia“Of everything that is happening in Venezuela, of the criminal violence, of the criminals, of the wounded, of the dead, of the destruction. You will be directly responsible, Mr. González Urrutia. And you, Mrs. Machado. Justice must come, there must be justice in Venezuela, because these things cannot happen again,” said Maduro.

He also called his main rival in the electoral contest a “coward” and urged him to confront him.

“Come and get me, I’ll be waiting for you here in Miraflores, Mr. Edmundo González, don’t take too long to get here, coward, come and get me,” he exclaimed.

The president also referred to a “plot” of “all social networks” against Venezuela,” and said that they seek to show “a parallel reality, as occurred during the coup d’état of April 2002, when the media constructed a false story about what happened,” taking away legitimacy from the protests of citizens and opponents who do not recognize the election result.

Following the election results, in which Maduro claimed victory, the owner of X disqualified the elections and described them as “a great electoral fraud.” “Shame on the dictator Maduro,” he wrote on Monday.

In a context of great political tension, the president of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Jorge Rodríguez, asked that Maria Corina Machado and Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia were arrested after the mass protests that broke out in different localities on Monday, July 29, the day after the elections electoral.

In a campaign to discredit and delegitimize the opposition, which has verified the records and claims to have the majority of votes in its favor, Rodríguez indicated that both Machado and González “knew about these plans,” referring to the protests.

In addition, dictator Nicolás Maduro met with the authorities of the High Military Command and political structures at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas.

Maduro blamed opposition leaders for the protests and showed alleged videos of what he called “terrorist acts,” which were nothing more than expressions of discontent after Maduro was declared the winner of an election riddled with irregularities.
