Makeup artists and designers at the Miss Universe
Maynor Dávila and Alvaro Rugama are part of the makeup team of the Miss Universe organization, both artists have been in the event for three years. The Nicaraguans were in charge of doing the makeup and hair of many of the 128 candidates for the pageant that took place this year in Mexico.
Dávila was in charge of makeup on the night of the final gala for Victoria Kjaer, delegate from Denmark and who won the Miss Universe 2024 crown; to Sheynnis Palacios, Miss Universe 2023; and R’bonny Gabriel, in Miss Universe 2022.
The Nicaraguan designer Neftalí Espinoza was in charge of designing the Danish national costume that Kjaer wore in the preliminary competition, and he was also her catwalk teacher, so Kjaer’s presentation was very similar to that of other Nicaraguan candidates.
