The vice president of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, announced that this afternoon her regime will recognize with the Augusto Sandino order Ortega officials who have been key players in her re-election process and sentence against Nicaraguan political prisoners.
Murillo expressed that the order in its maximum degree will be delivered to “comrades who notably represent courage, sacred values and our struggles for freedom and national dignity”, among which are the sanctioned Lumberto Campbell, Ana Julia Guido, Brenda Rock. Officials Alma Nubia Baltodano and Orlando Tardencilla will also be rewarded by the dictatorship.

The officials of the dictatorship will be recognized in the act of commemoration of the death of Augusto C. Sandino, “we will be present at a historic moment of recognition of symbolic brothers and sisters, symbols of that heroism that belongs to the millions of Nicaraguans who know how to say: They will not pass, they could not, nor will they be able to!” said the deputy president.
Likewise, the deputy dictator recalled that, “here we are and we continue, resolute, determined and unyielding in defense of sovereignty and national decorum, following in the footsteps of our General Sandino.” She affirms that the winners have “knew and know how to hold high the flags of our General Sandino, in fidelity and loyalty of love to our Nicaragua.”
Campbell has been a faithful militant of the Sandinismo Front representing the Caribbean Coast, currently serving as vice president of the Supreme Electoral Council. He was sanctioned through the United States Department of the Treasury.
For her part, Ana Julia Guido Ochoa is the current Attorney General of the Republic as the highest official of the Public Ministry, in charge of the case against the Violeta Barrios de Chamorro Foundation (FVBCH) that prepared the ground to try Cristiana Chamorro, Pedro Joaquin Chamorro, Walter Gomez and Marco Fletes. Guido is one of the most important pieces in the repressive apparatus of the regime.
Brenda Rocha, president of the Supreme Electoral Council, has been fundamental for the consummation of the re-election of the Ortega-Murillo family, in addition to the total control of the municipal authorities through the recent elections. It is sanctioned by the United States and the European Union.
