Nicaraguan regime removes Colonel José Valle from his position as military defense attaché in Honduras

The regime of Daniel Ortega, in its continuation of diplomatic “movements”, resolved to remove Infantry Lieutenant Colonel José Joaquín Valle Gutiérrez from his position as Nicaraguan Air and Naval Military Defense Attaché in Honduras.

Through presidential agreement number 73-2022 published in La Official Gazette Gazettethe Nicaraguan administration annulled Valle’s appointment and instead appointed DEM Infantry Lieutenant Colonel Leonardo Joaquín Hernández Cisne as his representative in the neighboring country.

On October 20, 2014, under presidential agreement number 182-2014, Lieutenant Valle was appointed to the position of military ambassador. The attaché previously held the position of director at the Colegio Latinoamericano and replaced Lieutenant Colonel Jorge Eduardo Rivera, who held the position at the time.

Recently, the regime also removed Infantry Colonel Juan René Icaza Jiménez from his position as consul of the Republic of Nicaragua in New York City, United States.

According to the publication in La Gaceta through presidential agreement number 60-2022, the dictatorship annulled his appointment without giving reasons and without announcing who was occupying his position.

Delegate Icaza was secretary of the Conference of Central American Armed Forces (CFAC), an international military organization made up of the armies of Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua; in order to “contribute to the security, development and military integration of the region, carry out humanitarian operations and peacekeeping operations within the framework of the United Nations, in accordance with the legal system of each country,” they point out on their website .
