Nicaraguan regime lengthens judicial process against political prisoner Abdul Montoya

Police recapture and transfer to Managua the former Matagalpino politician Abdul Montoya Vivas

Three months have passed since the National Police recaptured the ex-guerrilla Abdul Montoya Vivas, 64 years old, and in view of this arbitrary situation, relatives of the political prisoner, who live in the United States, have expressed their concern for the opponent’s health and demand that the authorities provide more information on the conditions in which Montoya Vivas is found.

«Unfortunately, the situation of my uncle Abdul (Montoya) is quite difficult, since for the second time in a row they put him in prison, without having freedom of anything, without being able to be at home calmly, he is in jail, he cannot go out to anything , nor to buy his medicine. He suffers from hypertension, diabetes, “said a niece of the political prisoner in a video posted on the account of Twitter of the opposition leader Félix Maradiaga.

Likewise, another relative of Montoya indicated that “we hope for the speedy release of my uncle and of the other political prisoners who have been unjustly imprisoned under the Ortega-Murillo government.”

Abdul Montoya Vivas was recaptured by the Ortega Police on April 3.
