Nicaraguan dies after being run over in the US, relatives request help for repatriation

The Nicaraguan Luis Alberto Lopez Baquedano30 years old, was killed by a vehicle in Miami, United States, while he was moving to attend a job interview.

According to information from his relatives, López Baquedano had been eight months old after arriving in the United States and was gardening to cover his expenses and those of his family.

The citizen is originally from E Sauce, municipality of León, and his family requests that financial support be provided to repatriate his remains to his city and give him a Christian burial.

“I ask you to watch the video and if it is within your possibilities to help make it possible to raise the necessary money to send the body of Luis Alberto López Baquedano to Nicaragua and that he receive a cristina burial by his family (my deepest condolences) and friends in his hometown of El Sauce,” Roger Reyes Baquedano, a relative of the deceased, wrote on his Facebook account.

«Luis Alberto López Baquedano lost his life in an accident last Thursday and he was a young man who, like many, came to work to get ahead. Many of us identify with him for having the same purposes and we are in the fight to get ahead in this country and every dollar is hard to earn, but we can make the effort and together achieve it, even if it is 5,10,15, 20 dollars… every dollar account. Let’s show that we Nicaraguans are a united and supportive family,” he added.

Faced with this situation, the family of López Baquedano created an account on GoFundMe to collect the nine thousand dollars that the funeral home charges to repatriate the body to Nicaragua. It was learned that Luis Alberto López leaves three underage girls in orphanage, who are in Nicaragua waiting to say goodbye to their father.
