The government of Nicaragua is about to break its diplomatic relations with Israel, after a recommendation from the National Assembly, reported Vice President Rosario Murillo, in statements reported by the official newspaper El 19.
According to the media, Murillo said that President Daniel Ortega instructed the Foreign Ministry to “accept the request of the National Assembly to break diplomatic relations with the fascist and genocidal government of Israel.”
“It is most likely that in the next few hours the decree that guarantees compliance with this instruction from our head of state and our parliamentary bodies will be known,” he added.
The special session of the National Assembly was held during the morning, Murillo said.
According to the vice president, the measure is not against the people of Israel. “As peoples, as a human family, we love and respect all the communities of the world. “It is the fascist and genocidal government of Israel that is applying policies of extermination against great, brave, brave peoples, dignified peoples with whom we have always been brothers, applying war crimes.”
Murillo harshly criticized the policies of the Israeli government.
