Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega sent a message of solidarity to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, after learning of the tragedy in Las Tejerías, Aragua state, where on Saturday more than 20 Venezuelans lost their lives due to landslides after heavy rains.
The letter, also signed by the Nicaraguan Vice President, Rosario Murillo, refers to the effects caused by climate change in the world and expresses its sorrow for the pain of each of the families who have lost their loved ones.
“Not only do we stand in solidarity, but, as always, we unite, because our Union is of all times and circumstances.”

With great sadness and much Love, we have known the misfortune that climate madness has generated and is generating in so many Countries of the World and this time in our Beloved Venezuela.
We have shared with profound Brotherhood the pain of each [email protected] of You, of the Families who have lost their Loved Ones, and we not only stand in solidarity, but, as always, we unite, because our Union is of all times and circumstances.
We ask God to bless us [email protected]and may His Great Power pour out consolation for the suffering of the Dear Families of Las Tejerías, in the State of Aragua.
