Nicaragua confirms its support for the Venezuelan people in their anti-fascist struggle

Nicaragua ratified its absolute and unwavering trust, friendship and support for the Bolivarian Revolution of Venezuela, the people of Commander Hugo Chávez and the struggle for self-determination against fascism, according to an AVN note.

In a letter, the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, and Vice President Rosario Murillo, expressed themselves on the occasion of the World Congress against fascism, neo-fascism and other similar expressions that is taking place in Caracas.

“Our revolutionary Nicaragua attends this important congress to ratify the certainty of the struggle and battles that we are waging, and that all our actions have an unwavering faith in the victory of peace, in unity, in solidarity, in sovereignty, in self-determination,” the letter states.

They also emphasize that for Nicaraguans, the battle against poverty and achieving great successes in education, health, well-being and security are essential to demonstrate that “fascism in all its forms can be defeated.”

“There is no day lost in the fight against fascism. Victory is certain, let us never doubt it. Our objective is to protect the people, it is the complete happiness of our people,” and “imperialism here in our America and in various parts of the world has already been shown that it can be defeated,” they assert.

The Sandinista militants also reaffirmed their affection for the Cuban people and raised their voices against the massacre of the Palestinian people, the Syrians and the Africans. “There are many regions of the world where we condemn the barbarity that is committed day after day and with increasingly brutal methods, we reject the crimes that fascism practices.”
