Political prisoners Alberto José Bracho, Yolmer Escalona, Argenis Valera Ruiz and Angelo Rosales have been held incommunicado since their transfer to Yare III. They have not received visits or packages (personal items) either.
The organizations Family SOS Libertad y Justicia, Encuentro y Perdón denounced the isolation to which four political prisoners, currently held in the Yare III prison (Miranda state), are subjected.
They are Alberto José Bracho, Yolmer Escalona, Argenis Valera Ruiz and Angelo Rosales. The first three were sentenced to 30 years in prison in August 2022 for the so-called “drone case”, as the assassination attempt against Nicolás Maduro in 2018 was called.
These men were in the El Dorado prison (Bolívar state) and since their transfer to Yare III they have been incommunicado, without access to visits or parcels.

In the case of Rosales, sentenced to 30 years in prison for “Operation Gedeón”, he was transferred from El Rodeo II prison to Yare III and has also not had contact with his relatives, who have reported in past years about their health situation, since they suffer from varicoceles and have become ill with hepatitis.
«We have received complaints that they were not receiving food and that they had been stripped of their personal items and other belongings during the transfer. “We urge the authorities to end the solitary confinement of these young people, to allow them visits from their families and to provide them with the dignified and adequate food to which every person deprived of liberty has the right, as established by the Venezuelan legal system,” he said. Justice, Encounter and Forgiveness in social networks.
Furthermore, the NGO emphasized the Alberto Bracho’s situationso they “urgently” requested information about his current status and conditions of confinement. “We have received alarming reports about his health, including weight loss and lack of adequate medical care.”
