The organization Justicia, Encuentro y Perdón (JEP) reported this Saturday, October 5, that the director of the National Agri-Food Platform, Nicolás Espinoza Barrios, who was reported missing last Monday, September 30, is detained.
According to the information published by the organization, Espinoza Barrios left his home in Caracas for a meeting in the morning and from that moment on he lost all communication with his family.

Justicia, Encuentro y Perdón denounced that the arrest of Espinoza Barrios represents a violation of his rights and deprives the country of a great human asset. “He is a man of extensive activism in agri-food matters, he constantly presents proposals for the recovery of this essential sector for the country’s economy and for the well-being of Venezuelans.”

The organization indicated that the arrest of the agricultural producer is worrying, because he suffers from chronic diseases that require daily treatment. “Four days after his arrest, the family has not been able to have contact with him.
