The president of the Criminal Forum, Alfredo Romero, clarified the information about alleged releases occurred on Friday, August 8 in the Tocorón prison (Aragua State). He indicated that they were transfers from political prisoners to alleged medical exams.

Transfers occur after the recent attack against a Group of poselectoral prisonerswho claimed the review of files and the release of the detainees, in addition to the exchange of 252 Venezuelan migrants arrested in El Salvador for 10 Americans detained in the country, in addition to a group of 80 political prisoners.
This exchange was completed between the United States government and Nicolás Maduro. Human rights organizations and the Criminal Forum itself could only verify the release of at least 70 political prisoners, among the Americans detained and Venezuelans in prisons and police commands.
Alfredo Romero indicated that in the week there were a series of transfers of political prisoners from the Sebin commands the Helicoid and Zone 7 of the PNB in Caracas to the Tocuyito prisons (Carabobo State), Yare II and El Rodeo I, these last two in the Miranda state.

Among those moved would be Justo Daza and Alejandro Torres, arrested by the “Operation Gideon”, who were allegedly taken to the strong Guaicaipuro (Valleles del Tuy, Miranda State); Karen Hernández, Samaira Romero and Carla da Silva, also convicted of Operation Gideon and taken to the Crisálida prison (Los Teques); Like former Magistrate Alejandro Rebolledo and the brothers Rolando and Otoniel Guevara.
