Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca chose its traditional authorities

At 2:00 pm this Saturday, September 3, 2022, the voting process ended in the Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca to choose the boards of directors of the regional congresses of Nedrini and Kadriri, in addition to the local ones of Kankintú, Besikó, Mironó , Nole Duima, Müna and Ñürum by the respective delegates of these congresses.

After the voting tables closed, the counting of the votes began to determine who were the candidates favored with the majority vote.

The electoral process took place in total calm and without inconveniences. The elections were organized by the Electoral Commission of the General Congress, with the support of the Electoral Tribunal.

The tables opened at 8:00 am The regional elections were held in the electoral regions of Ño Kribo, Nedrini and Kadriri.

Today, September 4, the election and ratification of the regional chiefs of Nedrini, Kadriri and the local chiefs of Kankintú, Besikó, Mironó, Nole Duima, Müna and Ñürüm will take place. The proclamation of the winners will be made to caciques in their respective congresses, as well as the delivery of credentials and presentation of the winners before the plenary session of Congress.

The Nedrini Regional Congress will take place in the town of Quebrada de Guabo and the one in Kadriri, in Llano Tugrí. And the locals of Kankintú, in Kankintú; that of Besikó, in Soloy; Mironó, in Hato Pilón; Nole Duima, in Sabanita; Müna, in Alto Caballero; and Ñürüm, in Buenos Aires.
