Neymar agreed to extend its contract with Saints until the end of 2026, the Brazilian club announced a few hours ago, maintaining the hope of being called up for the World Cup despite his recent injuries. The 33-year-old striker returned to his boyhood club in January 2025 and played a key role in their stay in the Brazilian top flight, scoring five goals in his last five games.
“Santos is my place, I’m at home,” Neymar said in a video posted on the Brazilian club’s social networks. “It is with you that I want to achieve the dreams that I still lack,” he added, referring to the Santos fans. Neymar, who has suffered injuries for a long time, underwent successful arthroscopic knee surgery last month.
