The Ney Arias Trauma Hospital Lora received from National Health Service (SNS)medical equipment valued at RD$3,698,282.00, to respond to the requirements in the field of health to the thousands of patients who come to the center.
Among the equipment delivered, four vital signs monitors with five parameters and two ventilators stand out. Likewise, 15 wheelchairs were delivered.
The holder of the SNS, mario lama, said that they continuously supply the health centers with the supplies they need. He maintained that it is a priority for President Luis Abinader, who has given firm instructions that health is a right, not a privilege.
“This is why once again we are in this magnificent hospital that has become one of the main and best trauma centers in the entire country,” he said.
He added: I am sure that the patient who arrives here has good care, I know that. I have the firm conviction that this hospital is playing an extraordinary role. That is why I take this opportunity to congratulate the entire work team of the Ney Arias Lora hospital, both medical and administrative.
Dr. Julio Landrón, general director, thanked the distinction made by the head of the SNS, for the efficiency in the work in the health center. He highlighted the great investment in terms of health that the government is making.
“The health indicators are what position us as the best hospital, among which stands out: less than 2% of infections, bed turnover less than 4 days, net mortality less than 3%, among others,” Landrón said.
