In this conference, which will take place until today Saturday at the Pedro Mir Library of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), different scientific topics related to minimally invasive surgery, techniques that offer greater patient care and more options will be presented. traditional surgery.
The director of the health center, Dr. Julius Landronreported that in this important event presentations are presented based on clinical cases of the health center, such as “Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery”, by Dr. Silvio de Peña, “Frequency and Management of Rotator Cuff Injury”, “Dystrophy Shoulder Girdle”, “Nutritional Status of Polytraumatized Patients”, among other topics of interest.
During his main speech at the opening ceremony this Friday, Landrón reported that since he took over the hospital management, he has focused on improving and increasing user care services.

In these 12 years, the health center has offered 92 thousand 660 surgerieshighlighting that the Ney Arias Lora Hospital carries out 40 and 50 surgical procedures of orthopedics, general surgery and neurosurgery in emergency and outpatients.
The specialist indicated that in these 12 years, 764 million 973 thousand 864 pesos and 61 cents have been exonerated for low-income patients, of this amount in the current administration headed by Dr. Julio Landrón, the health center has assumed the amount of 225 million 392 thousand 240 pesos with 08 cents.
The Dr. Ney Arias Lora Traumatological Hospital reported that, since June 2021, it has closed the months with zero debts to suppliers from the health center.
Landrón indicated that by implementing a new theme, where suppliers must deliver invoices from the 1st to the 5th of each month, the payment process begins immediately, so that it is made at the end of the month, a strategy that has allowed maintaining the good administrative operation.
“The objective of this action is to continue advancing towards excellence in the healthcare and financial field, and after settling the debt found of more than 60 million, since June 2021, due to the financial efficiency implemented, we have complied with the payments to the suppliers that win the tender through the purchasing portal, making us the only hospital in the country that closes month after month with zero debts and with a certain financial surplus that allows us to respond to any eventuality,” Landrón said.
The activity was dedicated to Dr. Jaime Fernandez Duranorthopedic doctor, anniversary teacher and founder of the activity, for his contributions to traumatology and continuing education in the country.
