This work will treat and dispose of wastewater generated in the districts of Chincha Alta, Chincha Baja, Grocio Prado, Pueblo Nuevo, Alto Larán, Sunampe and Tambo de Mora, reducing pollution, protecting local ecosystems and improving the quality of life of its residents. population as diseases are reduced.
The amount that will be allocated for the investment will be used for the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of approximately 21 kilometers of main collection networks and impulse lines, a pumping station, two new treatment plants of 0.6 cubic meters per second in total, as well as 7.7 km of lines for the final disposal of treated wastewater.
Proinversión specified that this work was incorporated into the private investment promotion process in 2022 and has the favorable opinion of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, as well as the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In this regard, the Project Director of the promotion agency, María del Pilar Caballero, stated that the structuring of the Chincha WWTP has had technical assistance from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The concession will be granted for 24 years, of which four will be for design, financing and construction and 20 for operation and maintenance.
