The Union of Kiosqueros of the Argentine Republic (UKRA) announced that until Thursday the premises attached to this organization will not charge the SUBE card used by users of public transport, claiming “higher earnings rates” for the provision of this service.
From this union organization they demand “a decent profitability for the charging service and ask” not to pay for the card platform “, while denouncing the existence of “a monopoly” in the sale of the SUBE.
“Today, SUBE’s burden is to lose money for the kiosk”, they assured from UKRA, stating that there is “an imbalance” between the expenses and resources used by the sector to provide the service and the scant profits obtained.
At present, the kiosqueros receive 0.5% of the amounts of the loads that are made in the SUBE.
With this protest measure, they hope to achieve an increase in that percentage.
