New York Judge Orders Former Trump Lawyer To Testify Before Grand Jury

A New York judge has just ordered Rudy Giuliani to testify on August 9 before the Fulton County, Georgia Grand Jury, which is currently investigating Donald Trump’s efforts to sabotage the 2020 election.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis is leading the investigation examining the former president’s actions in the state of Georgia. Among those subpoenaed this month are Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham and other former Trump legal advisers, including John Eastman, Cleta Mitchell, Jenna Ellis and Kenneth Chesebro.

Prosecutors may be considering possible criminal charges against those involved. According to experts, the investigation may be moving closer to Trump himself, since it comes on the heels of subpoenas that were issued to several members of the former president’s legal team who were involved in the effort to overturn election results in Georgia.

Prosecutor Willis indicated in court documents that Giuliani was subpoenaed. It was issued by Judge Thomas Farber in Giuliani’s home state.
