Former United States President Donald Trump (2017-2021) is indicted by a New York grand jury for paying bribes to porn actress Stormy Daniels in exchange for her silence.
With this, Trump becomes the first former president of the United States to be accused of a serious crime.
The Porn Star revealed in 2018, when Trump was in the White House, that they had had an affair in 2006.
Trump would have paid $130,000 to Daniels so that the adventure would not come to light and a confidentiality agreement was even signed. Said payment was considered illegal because he violated campaign finance regulations.
The actress appealed to the courts to have the confidentiality agreement declared void because Trump never signed it.
In other statements, Stormy Daniels assured that Trump promised to include her in his television program The Apprentice and that this was the reason for having relations with him.
