This designation was presented on October 14 and was published this Saturday in the Official Gazette A Peruvian man by means of the Supreme Resolution No. 020-2022-SA, which dictates “appoint the surgeon Dionisio Ignacio Poma Poma in the position of Vice Minister of Benefits and Health Insurance of the Ministry of Health”.

Although he does not register affiliation with any party according to the ROP, Dionisio Poma Poma is not just any stranger to the pencil party, since the new deputy minister of the Minsa actively participated in the electoral campaign on the Peru Libre platform in search of becoming mayor of Chilca to the period 2010-2014, same stage in which Vladimir Cerrón’s first administration as regional governor of Junín took place.
The proximity to Peru Libre is not the only thing that Poma shares with Cerrón Rojas, because, like the leader of the party in question, Poma is a surgeon, but in the specialty of internist. In addition, despite being a professor at the Peruvian University of Los Andes, he has no previous experience in the field of public management in the health sector.
