New stage of the Road Park seeks to train drivers

The National Institute of Traffic and Land Transportation (Intrant), in alliance with the group United Petroleumannounced the relaunch of the Ciudad Juan Bosch Children’s Road Safety Park, an initiative aimed at strengthening road education children and the prevention of traffic accidents from an early age.

This project is part of the strategic actions that drives the Intrant to promote a mobility culture safe and responsible, through educational spaces designed so that boys, girls and adolescents learn, in a practical and didactic way, the principles of traffic, respect for rules and road coexistence, with the support of the private sector.

The executive director of the entity, Milton Morrisonvalued the alliance with United Petroleum as an example of effective cooperation between the public and private sectors to generate a real impact on the road safety of the country.

“The road education It is one of the most powerful tools for save lives. This joint effort with United Petroleum It will allow us to continue forming more conscious and responsible citizens from childhood, and demonstrates the value of strategic alliances for the common good,” Morrison said.

  • As part of the agreement, United Petroleum will make an annual contribution of RD$1,500,000.00 for a period of five years, destined for the renovation, adaptation and general conditioning of the park, in accordance with the priority needs of the educational facility, guaranteeing safe and adequate spaces for learning.

The relaunch of the park includes the adaptation of thematic educational areas, which will allow children to interact with simulated scenarios of traffic, strengthening the practical learningprevention and responsible decision-making on public roads.

Awareness days

Additionally, the program will include awareness daysspecialized talks on prevention and the development of safeguarding policies for boys, girls and adolescents, with the accompaniment of Save the Children Dominicanstrengthening the educational and social focus of the park.

For his part, the CEO of United Petroleum, Juan Tomas Diazhighlighted the company’s commitment to prevention and road educationand called on the business sector to join initiatives that contribute to reducing traffic risks and building safer mobility for all.

With this joint action, Intran and United Petroleum reaffirm their commitment to road education as a pillar of prevention, betting on training of new generations and the protection of life on the roads of the Dominican Republic.
