According to the last report NMSthe areas affected by storms and rains of varying intensity, some locally strong, are a large part of Catamarca, La Rioja and Tucumán, and the central region of San Juan and Salta and the southeast of Jujuy.
In these areas, “accumulated precipitation values between 30 and 45 millimeters are expected for all these areas, and may be exceeded in a timely manner.” However, in high mountain areas, precipitation “could be in the form of snow.” In addition, strong electrical activity is expected.
“These storms will be accompanied by intense gusts, significant electrical activity, hail fall and abundant water fall in short periods of time,” according to the entity.
Regarding the warning for Tierra del Fuego, the province will be affected by winds that exceed 50 and 70 kilometers per hour. Wind gusts are also expected that can exceed 90 kilometers per hour.
