Due to the new data on inflation in the country, the Government ordered that the salary received by the domestic workers in order to authorize an adjustment that allows solving the basic needs of families.
The domestic workers could perceive a new variation that will be defined on March 31 at 11 in the morning, when the National Commission for Work in Private Houses, which brings together representatives of the domestic workers and the Ministries of Economy, Labor and Social Development will meet virtually to discuss the adjustment.
The decision is supported by the effect of inflation, which in February was 4.7%, the highest percentage in recent months. The last government meeting related to the domestic workers set the values that govern as of March 1.
How were the salaries until March
In the case of private house maids who work as supervisors, that is, they are in charge of the coordination and control of the tasks carried out by more people in their charge, receive a minimum remuneration of 335.50 pesos per hour or 41,892 per month if they leave the house. Without withdrawal, the payment is 367.50 per hour or 46,663.50 per month.
For landlords or people who take care of the property, the salary is 299.50 per hour and 37,973 per month. Meanwhile, those who perform assistance and personal care work and leave the house have a base salary of 299.50 per hour and 37,973 per month; if they stay to sleep in the property, the payment per hour must be 334 and 42,317 per month.
In the meantime, those who perform specific tasks are paid 317.50 per hour or 38,920 per month when they leave the house, while those who do not retire are paid 348 per hour or 43,325 per monthaccording to the last variation.
Finally, for the personnel who provide general cleaning, maintenance, cooking and other household chores and who stay in the house to sleep, they charge 299.50 per hour and 37,973. Those who retire charge a minimum of 278 per hour or 34,148.50 pesos per month.
When these variations were approved, an additional amount per unfavorable area was established, equivalent to 30% of the minimum wages established for each of the categories corresponding to domestic workers.
