Ecuador no longer asks for a covid PCR test for the entry of travelers. Learn about the other requirements.
Ecuador is experiencing a decline in cases of COVID-19; this has been explained by the national COE, which issued new measures for Travellers entering the country, whether they are tourists or residents.
From this February 11, 2022 the Travellers who enter Ecuador must present these requirements:
Over three years old: vaccination certificate with the complete scheme and with the QR code or the vaccination card with at least 14 days of validity after completing the scheme.
If you do not have the card, the negative result of a PCR test carried out up to 72 hours before boarding will be valid. But this is no longer a mandatory requirement for those who have their card.
All tourists must present the Traveler’s Health Declaration digitally when boarding the airline. If for any reason the platform is not enabled, the document will be presented physically.
If he traveler have symptoms related to covid It will be classified as a “suspicious case”. The Ministry of Health will do an antigen test.
If the result is positive, you must self-isolate for 10 days at your home or at any accommodation site of your choice and at the traveler’s expense. (AVV)
