The newly appointed principal rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE) Conrado Pérez and the alternate rector Aura Rosa Hernández joined their duties this Friday in the different commissions of the Electoral Branch.
This was reported by the president of the CNE, Elvis Amoroso, who explained that the new rectors were received by the board of directors of the electoral body, as established by the legal system.
“They are people with great experience and people from states willing to defend the homeland in any circumstance,” Amoroso highlighted in statements offered to Venezolana de Televisión.
It is important to remember that Conrado Pérez and Aura Rosa Hernández were appointed this Thursday by the National Assembly after the dismissal of the former rector Juan Carlos Delpino.
At the time of the designation in the AN, Dr. Conrado Pérez was described “as a defender of the nationalist cause, defender and recognizer of State institutions.”
