New record of hot spots in the country is registered

This Friday, August 2, the government warned about a new record in hot spots. Reported that there are ten active fires distributed in Santa Cruz, Beni and Tarija.

According to the report of the Vice Minister of Civil Defense, Juan Carlos Calvimontes, there are 33,959 hot spots in the countryof which: 28,381 are in Santa Cruz5,302 in Beni, 60 in Chuquisaca, 55 in Tarija, 51 in La Paz, 49 in Pando, 22 in Cochabamba, 22 in Potosí and 17 in Oruro.

The vice minister reported that there are 10 active fires in the country, most of them in Santa Cruz. These are distributed in the municipalities of: Saint Matthias, Conception, Saint Raphael, Saint Xavier, The Bridge, Robore, Saint Ignatius of Velasco. But Beni and Tarija also have a fire.

According to Calvimontes’ version, 31 forest fires have been extinguished so far, with the participation of: 1,702 firefighters, 33 mobilized military units, three aircraft and two mobilized fire trucks.
