The President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, gave its constitutional agreement to Gustavo Santander for a new minister of the Supreme Court of Justice.

The oath of the future minister would be taking place next Monday at the headquarters of the Congress.

Santander was elected by the Senate to occupy the Supreme Court of Justice in replacement of Antonio Fretes, who reached retirement when he turned 75 years old.
