New minister aims to strengthen the capacities of the SEN

The new minister of the SEN, Zunilda Borja, announced that her management will aim to strengthen the institution and reinforce its response capacities for a rapid reaction in cases of risks or disasters.

In this way, the head of the National Emergency Secretariat (SEN) commented for 1000 AM that she will focus on consolidating the programs and plans that the SEN has for assistance to the most vulnerable sectors.

“Mainly I want to work with local governments, with community participation, to be able to generate alliance strategies to strengthen our capacity for prevention, preparation and reaction to adverse events,” he said.

The new head of the state entity also confirmed that the engineer Miguel Kurita will continue to collaborate with his administration as director of the Cabinet.
