New leader of Coparmex Puebla promises an institutional relationship with local governments

Puebla, Pue. The new president of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) in Puebla, Beatriz Camacho Ruizwho is the first woman to head the organization, promised an institutional relationship with local governments.

After 34 men in 90 years have held positions at the local level in the organization, the last being Rubén Martínez Furlong, the new leader called on her members to join forces so that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) continue to contribute to the local economy and job creation.

In his administration from 2024 to 2025, Camacho Ruiz offered to give more impetus to businesses headed by women so that they can access public financing.

In addition, he highlighted the importance of encouraging students and continuing to collaborate with various organizations to continue strengthening the economic development of Puebla.

He mentioned that he had the first approach with the state and municipal authorities to have a working relationship, unrelated to political issues.

He pointed out that the fight against machismo is a cultural issue for both men and women, but it seeks to change the vision of the role of women in society.

Also, he proposed the incursion of university talents into MSMEs through on-campus preparation.

Camacho Ruiz also urged his partners to give added value to the interns who come to their companies, with the granting of financial support so that they can capitalize on what they have learned.

“We have to get rid of this idea that the student is only going to be a social service and we don’t know what to entrust to him, we don’t know what he is going to do and furthermore he is not paid,” reiterated the leader of Coparmex Puebla.
