This Wednesday, January 1, in Cartagena, the homicide of Mauricio Gómez Núñez, a 36-year-old man who was murdered with a firearm, when he was on the streets of the Daniel Lemaitre neighborhood, sector 20 de Julio.
According to the report from the Cartagena Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred due to two people who were traveling on a motorcycle; apparently, the grill member was the one who fired the firearm at Gómez Núñez.
The authorities have indicated that the victim was transferred to a medical-care center, where He later died due to the severity of his injuries.
Through a video broadcast on social networks, the moment was recorded around one in the afternoon in which, after the shots were fired, neighbors ran to the place where the body of Mauricio Gómez was lying.

With the homicide presented on Wednesday afternoon, Cartagena registers two deaths in less than 24 hours due to unrelated events so far.
